IN WHICH WE HANG SOME PICTURES...
I wish the pixies would stop fiddling!
I can't blame the cat for everything ...
Rainy squalls and bright bursts of sunshine continue; great for gardens, but makes lawn mowing patchy! We do have rather a lot of grass here...
But let's talk about flowers. Salvias! Went to one of the better garden stores yesterday and managed to restrain my greed! Came home with only two. That must be some sort of record!! Salvia "Amistad" and S. "Rockin' Purple." Only "Amistad" is in flower at present, but there are buds on "Rockin' Purple" so come back in a few days...
We have hung most of our framed pictures, but the light is not the best so only a couple to show...

I have always love the royal purple of the "Amistad" salvia
Brilliant color, sweetpea! xoxo
Maddie and Sav it's glorious colour, isn't it.I picked several long stems yesterday when the wind threatened and they put the Agapanthus in the shade!
My eternal favourite amongst salvias - and we have quite a collection... (Including a "Rockin; Fuchsia", rather than "Purple). Jx
My mother planted Salvia "bonfire" and Lobelia "Oxford Blue" along a path to the mail box and they were great summer stalworts. Where path curved toward the front door it was old-fashioned freesias in Spring and daffodils along the pathway. Maybe that old fashioned stuff is worth a post...
You sound like you're getting some Devon weather, you should see the state of my lawn!
Sx
Jon is growing Amistad too! Who could resist that luscious midnight blue?
@Steve: Amistad's actually a Royal Purple, which is even more luscious! Jx
I love Salvias! I did better growing them in my last yard, but I haven't figured out the best place for them here. Those are great pictures!
Thanks, Proxima. Generally, they are an "easy" plant, but I may have to stake S. Amstad!
