...for a few facts about K'gari
Still called Fraser Island by many (most?) Europeans, I like its old name of K'gari.
Sadly, it seems only to hit the headlines when someone is attacked by a dingo. Despite warnings, campers on the island still allow kiddies to "feed the nice doggy."
But there is more to K'gari than dingoes.
What else is happening around here? Not a lot that would interest you lovely readers! Domestic stuff.
And now I must gird my loins and venture into the silliness of shopping...need more Drunken Woman seedlings as most in the garden have bolted.
I'm a bit confused. Have I missed something about this island? Jx
ReplyDeletePS Shopping is good! What are "Drunken Woman" seedlings..?
No, not really, Jon.. It's a lovely island in Queensland. And, of course, I'm now in NZ! I'd be confused, too! I may have imbibed a little when I wrote this...
ReplyDelete🤣 Jx
ReplyDeleteI'm always confused these days, so no worries!
ReplyDeleteYes, tell us more about the Drunken Woman seedlings - pictures please!
Sx
Don't worry, Dinah. I remember the Drunken Woman - she's a lettuce!!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Your Blogger clock is a day behind when it should be - I'm sure it's tomorrow where you are!
ReplyDeleteIDV...But it was the day before yesterday, according to my laptop clock. (I no longer have a wrist-watch clock)
ReplyDeleteLettuce YEAH! Plant some for me!
ReplyDeleteSilly me, when I was a child reading about dingoes, I thought they were cute. Also! When I was a young teen, I’d read romance books about New Zealand and I swore those stories about farmers and winter were soooo romantic…until I visited Oz in winter. 🥶
