NEW YEAR ...WITHOUT RESOLUTIONS.
Nope! Usually, by the end of January, one can hear the shards of broken resolutions falling all over the place! So I avoid the dangers.
I hope those of you who stayed awake to ring in another year all had a jolly time.
I felt for the animals as the fireworks flashed and banged til after 2am. Maybe I'm just an old grouch...
Now, remember when I asked for help in identifying a seed pod I'd picked up? This one
which Jon identified as a Vireya. Well, yesterday, I picked a flower from it!Vireya
apples
fuschias and a mended duck.( poor duck was in several pieces and still looks worse-for-wear, but he/she is safe)
Labels: basil, dead duck, foxgloves, garden, lavender, nasturtiums, rosemary, tomatoes

Lovely flower! Happy New Year Dinah!
Resolutions? Mine is to not make any. A jolly time was had and the "spirits" kicked in quick and strong alright...especially since I couldn't drink with all the meds I was on since the oral surgery from the end of November. Thank heavens I finished them just in time for the holidays.
And a happy one to you, Maddie.
Yes, I wondered how you'd manage the festivities after that oral work.
As always, lovely to see summer in full swing when we in the UK are about to get freezing northerly winds coming across the country, and we've moved a few plants out of their path... Happy New Year, Dinah! Jx
And to you, Jon. You and Madam have really whetted my appetite for fuschias! Lots more fuschias!
In a temperate climate, they are unbeatable! Jx
Oh my god how I LONG for those tomatoes!!! Look at you there in the future!
Welcome to a new 365, Steve. One day, youll have some 'matoes of your own. You've got green fingers all the way to your elbows!
