STILL FAFFING AROUND...

Well, not exactly wasting time...in looking for one thing I came across other things, as one does.

This "other thing" is a photo of an old hippie vest, made for a local "vestival."

Back in the 60s, when kids were flocking to love-ins in places like San Francisco and open-air concerts  at Woodstock, the denim vest was pretty much de rigeuer.

We marched against nuclear arms, we demanded an end to the Vietnam war, we loved everyone and some of us fried a few brain cells!

Today, it's difficult to find original badges so most of what you see here are paper.

We've had a "bumper" crop of cucumber and zucchini. When I say "bumper" I'm thinking of those big, lumpy fenders on the dodgem cars at fairgrounds. So tonight's supper will probably be stuffed zucchini. Something like this https://www.sbs.com.au/food/the-cook-up-with-adam-liaw/recipe/stuffed-zucchini/wnk8451hh

And that's about it for today.

Bon apetit! And give peace a chance!

NEW YEAR ...WITHOUT RESOLUTIONS.

Nope! Usually, by the end of January, one can hear the shards of broken resolutions falling all over the place! So I avoid the dangers.

I hope those of you who stayed awake to ring in another year all had a jolly time.

I felt for the animals as the fireworks flashed and banged til after 2am. Maybe I'm just an old grouch...

Now, remember when I asked for help in identifying a seed pod I'd picked up? This one

which Jon identified as a Vireya. Well, yesterday, I picked a flower from it!
Vireya

apples

strawberries, under netting

tomatoes, NOT under netting, but fingers X'd

foxgloves, all but finished, but I'll save seeds

fuschias and a mended duck.( poor duck was in several pieces and still looks worse-for-wear, but he/she is safe)

The very fancy herb planter, utilising the armrests from a broken lawn chair...waste not, want not!
