SOME SPRING COLOUR IN THE TROPICS

Just went out to water and discovered masses of Quisqualis buds.

I've been watering some very thirsty plants; it's easy to forget how searing the wind can be! I'll go out again with the camera when the sun is more obliging...

A pretty little un-named orchid

Petrea volubilis. Also keen to escape to my neighbour!

Passion fruit! YAY! At this stage I don't know whether they are bog-standard purples or the (less tasty!) yellows.

And, just like that, the clock has whizzed around to  almost Happy Hour.

I can't see the first two photos - just the text "image.png" - but the little orchid certainly is pretty, and I love the delicate flowers of Petrea. My passion flower vine didn't get going until rather late into summer (because of our cool spring, I suspect) so there won't be any fruit as the flowers have not long been opening. Plus, fewer pollinators :(

"Zombie Jamboree" was a fun accompaniment, but it's now moved on to "Jump In The Line" - I feel a Beetlejuice rewatch coming on!

Mr ID...I see there are a few hiccups to be sorted out on this site, too.Hopefully, I'll get the hang of it before too long! And the lack of pollinators is worrying.

Oh, golly! I somehow missed this one!

Hiccups, there may be - but I want Petrea volubilis to go rampant in our garden (some hope). Jx
